Four people. 100 km. 30 hours. That's it really. It seemed like a good idea - an opportunity to get fitter and healthier and raise money for Oxfam at the same time. So we trained hard, we walked hard and now we are still collecting donations for Oxfam and hoping that if you are reading this you might make an online donation to help us reach our fundraising target of £2,500. If every reader could donate £5 our total would add up really quickly.
We are the Caldew Wanderers - Judy Carruthers, Diane Angus, Alison Rowe and Lee Kenyon. We recently took part in Oxfam's annual ultra-tough fundraiser, Trailwalker. This 100 km walk follows the South Downs Way from Petersfield to Brighton and participants aim to complete the walk within 30 hours.
Our aim is to raise £2,500 for Oxfam, the Gurkha Welfare Trust and the Army Benevolent Fund.
Please take a little time to look around our site and thank you for any donations you make.
